Meet the Maker
Anuhea Jewelry is run by myself, Anuhea Potter. I am 21 years old and was born and raised on the island of O'ahu. I am currently attending college in Arizona and on track to receive my bachelor's degree in psychology.
Anuhea Jewelry began as a quarantine hobby in spring of 2021. I began by creating fun beaded bracelets for my close friends. This hobby grew rather quickly, and before I knew it, I was opening up my business under the name Beads by Potter in April 2021.
After graduating from high school, I used my free time during that summer to develop an image for my brand, grow my audience, and expand my creative abilities. I continued to sell under the name Beads by Potter and began participating in markets on campus. Through these markets, I really began to grow my business and share my jewelry with others.
In May of 2023, I decided that it was time for a rebrand. I had begun using Hawaiian elements in my jewelry in the winter and wanted a name that represented that cultural value. That month, I changed my name to Anuhea Jewelry.
Since then, I've been sculpting my brand to better represent Hawaiian culture. Because I live on the mainland for most of the year, I make it my kuleana to share Hawaiian culture with my community. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity I've been given to share my culture.
Mahalo nui for choosing to support Anuhea Jewelry! I love what I do and am so thankful for the growth, challenges, and endless support I've received!
Some fun facts about me:
When I'm not making jewelry, I'm making lei
I run a club at my university for other students from Hawai'i and Oceania
I have a beautiful doberman named Pono
Much like anyone else, I'm very bad at saving money when it comes to Hawai'i's small businesses!
I have an amazing boyfriend named Noah who encourages me every day and has been my leading support system for the last two years! You've probably seen him at markets, too.
Much aloha,
Anuhea ♡
